We've seen strange disconnects where the quit message listed "changing server" as a reason, but at the same time overly-long commit message titles causing an exception to be raised in the irc module. This exception is caught by the bot code so that the process doesn't terminate, but it's possible this is triggering some other unexpected behavior which results in it not realizing it's no longer connected to the server, at which point it's just shouting into the void until a user complains and then one of our sysadmins downs and ups the container to restart the bot process. If this is really connected, then perhaps when I push this commit the bot will disconnect again? No idea, but let's find out shall we?
