AFAIK we already upgraded kustomize and kyaml for that.\nThat allows to get rid of sandwich call-model for plugins and use docker images.\n\nFunny thing - we worked in parallel on the same idea and got almost to the same result.\nmy version of the same plugin can be found here:https://github.com/aodinokov/noctl-airship-poc/blob/master/kpt-functions/crypter/ (not finished yet)\n\nthe idea how it works can be found here https://github.com/aodinokov/noctl-airship-poc/blob/master/kpt-functions/crypter/function_test.go (I didn\u0027t finish it so far), but this test passes.\n\nit\u0027s based on kpt-function idea.\n+ docker image can be used separately to (see https://github.com/aodinokov/noctl-airship-poc/blob/master/kpt-functions/crypter/image/main.go#L80)\n\nI think we should work together on SOPS based version of kpt-function based kustomize plugin :) I think it won\u0027t be very difficult to combine both parts together.\n\nwe could chat/had a call to combine our efforts :) what do you think?","commit_id":"b91f5078f892867ac35b9e18555a132e7746aadd"}]}
