If you extend, resize, a volume that\u0027s already attached to a VM, you won\u0027t actually see that new size, unless you force Nova to issue a rescan on the SCSI bus.  So, Cinder may have said success, you won\u0027t even see the new size on nova until you detach and reattach the volume.\n\nThis is especially true, when multipath is involved.
