support snapshot delete operation\nwhen the guest is not in \u0027ACTIVE\u0027 state.\nWith commit[1], nova raises a InstanceInvalidState exception\nwhich translates to a BadRequest for Cinder.\nSo when we try to delete a snapshot when the nova guest is\npowered off, the snapshot ends up in \"error_deleting\" state.\nSince we clearly mention that nova doesn\u0027t support deleting\nsnapshots when guest is not active, Cinder should better\nhandle this scenario by keeping the snapshot in available\nstate (and not logging a long stack trace with exception).\nThis patch handles the scenario by catching the correct nova\nexception and translating it into a error log also keeping\nthe snapshot in \u0027available\u0027 state.\n\n[1]
