If either call raises an exception\n(e.g., oslo_privsep cannot start due to insufficient Linux\ncapabilities in the container), the exception propagates\nunhandled.\n\nSince continue_backup is invoked via an RPC cast with no reply\nchannel, the caller never receives a response and the backup\nremains stuck in \u0027creating\u0027 state indefinitely. The source\nvolume also remains stuck in \u0027backing-up\u0027 state.\n\nMove both calls inside the existing try/except block so that\nany failure is properly caught.
