And we have a third party CI (PMEM) which has n-api-meta enabled on compute node and this service fails every time (it does not impact anything since there is a n-api-meta service on the control node).\n\nIt does not make sense to have n-api-meta running on every compute node at the first place. If a per cell local metadata service is wanted, it only has to run on one compute node in a Nova cell, not every compute node. And there has to be a per cell q-meta service which routes the request to the local cell n-api-meta service. I really doubt how that has been tested since it highly depends on how the network is segregated. https://docs.openstack.org/nova/latest/user/cellsv2-layout.html#nova-metadata-api-servic\nI don\u0027t think we want to go down that road to have a thorough explanation of what\u0027s going on there. \n\nSo what you are suggesting is to simply put a note here saying that n-api-meta could fail on compute node due to bug #1815082?","commit_id":"3e0960d78f040b0d6b593a5e2fa107d8fd26a41a"}]}
