The fact that it did work, if you had enough bits and pieces, is really just lucky.\n\nI mean we are supposedly a python app, shipped from pypi.  Basically, install it (virtualenv probably) or you can\u0027t expect it to work -- just like anything else from pypi\n\nThis is what we do in CI (run out of a virtualenv we are installed in).  Personally, I feel like I am going to spend zero time working on/working around issues that come up because people are running outside a virtualenv.
