That\u0027s why this is on Xenial, which is what it builds on currently.\n\nThis has somewhat strayed ... because now we\u0027re bringing up builders with the nodepool container image which is actually based on buster.\n\nWhat should happen with this is we switch it to container based jobs.  The place to start is with the nodepool-functional-container-openstack-base job which is in nodepool.  this is basically like this test (boot devstack, build image, upload to devstack, boot) but using the container images.\n\nconverting these jobs is on my todo list; there may be wrinkles around getting the latest dib built into the image for testing.  we can maybe open a story and collaborate if this is something you want to look into before i can get to it.\n\nIt\u0027s for that reason I\u0027m pretty negative to switching this to building ontop of suse ...
