So I guess it was never perfect.\n\nMore recently we also have some OVA packages support.\n\nIt\u0027s almost like we need a word that describes general data assets. ;-)\n\nI guess there are two ways we can go here:\n\n1) keep the sole focus in the mission statement to be Images. Had the big tent existed back then, perhaps metadefs would have been a separate service, but it didn\u0027t.  And, unlike Glare, there is no effort underway to create a new project or service specifically for metadefs. Even if there were, any such effort would require a deprecation period in Glance as I am aware of a couple of major companies that rely on them in their distributions.
