The TC has been trying to improve communication regarding elections. We publish election dates on the schedule as soon as they are available [1]. Election officials also email the openstack-discuss mailing list, and have begun emailing all project contributors reminding them about the PTL nomination process before the deadline. We also sent IRC status messages to the #openstack-charms IRC channel at regular intervals.
