In fact, internally it tracks and replaces only vcpus which it just substitutes in with a 0 value anyway.\n\nThat all goes back to the shift from quantitative to qualitative scheduling and Ironic keeping it around for *ages* later *really* just was us extending long term interoperability with nova.
