At the moment this code only addresses the 'anti-affinity' solution. Once this is done an through I'll be very happy to add the 'affinity'. I see this as happening on two levels. The first is the configuration of an instance group. That is, the instance group should not have conflicting policies - that is affinity and anti affinity are conflicting policies. So I see a specific check on the instance group configuration that will test this (hopefully we'll have the initial support in soon - we are currently reviewing https://review.openstack.org/#/c/38979/ and then hopefully https://review.openstack.org/#/c/30028/ will use this). I would expect that we would build on https://review.openstack.org/#/c/30028/ to ensure that there are no conflicting policies. When we were writing this we did not plan the affinity filter and it was you that added it :)
In addition to the above i would expect the check here to also take into account the affinity, that is, it will be something like:
if 'anti-affinity' in group['policies'] or 'affinity' in group['policies']:
.
.
.
I really think that we should start with the anti affinity support and then once that is through we should add in the affinity support.
I also think that we need to make changes to the scheduler where that can invoke specific filters for specific policies - this is being discussed in https://review.openstack.org/#/c/37407/
I hope that you agree. Please let me know if I have provided a complete answer.
this is updating the key pair.
my understanding is that update is used to update a dictionary with another dictionary.
please elaborate
I think that it work only for anti affinity filter.
