sriov port instead of a ovs port when we were testing sriov live migrate ion with an sriov direct port.\n\nill see if i can pull this into a devstack env and take a look at it properly next week.\n\nthis defiantly wont fix all cases i knwo of where we can have mtu issues\n\ni.e. if where a user uses the optional mtu writable extension in neutron to modify the mtu\n\nnova does not bug\n\nso im include to say perfect is the enemy of good enough in this case and since this those not make fixing the large problem harder we might want to proceed with this as an incremental improvement.\n\nideally we would have  live migration functional reproduce test for this edge case\n\nlike https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/nova/+/791235/3\n\nbut i thikn we shoudl be able to reproduce this with 2 ovs networks  with different mtus\n\nfi we can then we can write a tempest test to validate this separately without needing sriov in ci to verify this end to end.\n\nthe
