Primarily so\nthe instance does not get stuck in the (meant to be transient) MIGRATING\nstate and that the migration does not get stuck in the error state but\ngets propagated to the failed state.\n\nThe failure of drop_move_claim_at_destination can happen for example when\nthe destination compute becomes unreachable during pre live migration\nand it keeps being unreachable during the pre live migration\u0027s cleanup.\n\nAfter suppressing the error of drop_move_claim_at_destination we know\nthat this did not happen in the destination compute, but I believe this\nis not a problem, because either the destination compute was restarted,\nin this case the claim was lost anyway.
