A threading.Lock guards _client access in\nboth _ensure_client() and shutdown() to prevent races between\nconcurrent job_board() calls and service shutdown.\n\nA new shutdown() method finalizes the client on SIGTERM via\nConsumerService.terminate() -\u003e ControllerWorker.shutdown(). A\nno-op base class shutdown() means Redis and Etcd drivers need\nno changes.
