Every system I\u0027ve ever had has a \u0027python2\u0027 symlink installed, which is normally the latest version of python2 installed, (but not always) so in your case 2.7. (https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0394/ )\n\nFor this case it doesn\u0027t matter, when npm installs gyp it needs to know where a python 2.X binary inside the venv is.
