The one thing to note is that the ID of a resource is unique within its scope - i.e. each network has a unique ID, subnets, ports, etc. For that reason I\u0027ve never seen anyone use the ID as a filter, they always just use it directly, for example, \u0027openstack network show $ID\u0027.
