If you say that you don\u0027t want to emphasize this via a MINOR version bump, then I\u0027m OK with that. Semver really says that MINOR version bump is needed in case of minimum version bump of a required package or in case of a new dependency. However this is a new capping that is introduced. Anyway, i wanted to just double check that it is OK with you.
