The key patch we want to get in before RC-1 is https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/cinder/+/933675\n\nIt was approved a while ago, but got stuck in the gate because unit tests added by a different patch wound up breaking 933675.  So we decided to revert the \"bad\" patch and fix the UTs later, but the reversion https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/cinder/+/944278 appears to be cursed and is hitting completely irrelevant failures on various jobs.\n\nSo ... there\u0027s a regression bug whose fix is in-flight, so we will definitely be doing an RC-2.  Would it be OK to include https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/cinder/+/933675 as well in RC-2?  Asking because it sounds kind of feature-ish, although it is low risk because it\u0027s isolated to a single backend driver.
