The spirit of the fix is that a short-lived behavior change which introduced a regression is being effectively rolled back and made merely optional, though doing so *is* now technically a default behavior change as well. I would say since the behavior change that\u0027s being mitigated didn\u0027t warrant a major version increase, this shouldn\u0027t either.
