Anyway, this particular statement is an unfounded opinion that I wholeheartedly disagree with. If bearer tokens are being systematically compromised in any manner, malicious trust creation would not be anywhere near the top of my list of concerns. All resources accessible to the compromised user are immediately vulnerable, nevermind bothering to delegate any of that authorization to the malicious user... they already have the authorization because they have a bearer token. At best, I would envision this \"attack vector\" to provide a means of slightly obscuring / misdirecting the audit trail.","commit_id":"e1095f1958e692fcc0790727222e3671bf0abf61"},{"author":{"_account_id":9098,"name":"Nathan Kinder","email":"nkinder@redhat.com","username":"nkinder"},"change_message_id":"7be82737f9c5013a80a549749cd82fcec87c470e","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[{"line_number":28,"context_line":"are delegated through the trust."},{"line_number":29,"context_line":""},{"line_number":30,"context_line":"There are other ways that a compromised token can be misused, but the"},{"line_number":31,"context_line":"issue of trust documented here appears most critical."},{"line_number":32,"context_line":""},{"line_number":33,"context_line":"This behavior is intrinsic to the bearer token model used within"},{"line_number":34,"context_line":"Keystone / OpenStack."}],"source_content_type":"application/octet-stream","patch_set":5,"id":"ba15a1d1_22988869","line":31,"in_reply_to":"da20952f_8ecbeb71","updated":"2015-09-17 17:56:43.000000000","message":"I agree with this. I think this issue is worth having an OSSN for, as it\u0027s trying to point out that creation of a trust with an intercepted token can allow for unintended access even after the intercepted token has expired.
