If such tests can be tested in project sode unit or functional tests then we do not need to duplicate the in Tempest or Tempest plugin. Main reason for that is these simple negative tests can be run at low cost in unit/functinal tests. Tempest or plugin tests and running in CI is little costly. Especially now a days where we see lot of timeout in our CI.\n\nIf any negative tests involve other services or cannot be tested in unit/functional tests then yes we can add them in Tempest or Tempest plugin.","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"},{"author":{"_account_id":10459,"name":"Luigi Toscano","email":"ltoscano@redhat.com","username":"ltoscano"},"change_message_id":"c81677f4fb470bd7dd2890070ef3daafcb903958","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[],"source_content_type":"","patch_set":1,"id":"1cf4665e_7ab96465","in_reply_to":"1f505317_6e9a730c","updated":"2024-01-25 10:14:46.000000000","message":"Your question is the main point of my question.\n\"tempest\" can mean different things:\n1- a framework\n2- a set of tests in tempest repositories\n3- any test which uses the tempest framework and live in some tempest plugin\n\nIf in this context, \"tempest\", as gmann wrote, is about 2, it means the test may live elsewhere (3).\nIf \"tempest\" is about all of them, then no.","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"},{"author":{"_account_id":9303,"name":"Abhishek Kekane","email":"akekane@redhat.com","username":"abhishekkekane"},"change_message_id":"e26c2dd1081f4a80009604a86828e4c8fd7d7bde","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[],"source_content_type":"","patch_set":1,"id":"187bcf29_a446c23a","in_reply_to":"72815a76_a74d1d43","updated":"2024-01-29 04:46:23.000000000","message":"Its better to move these tests as functional tests in glance itself.","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"},{"author":{"_account_id":34510,"name":"Maxim Sava","email":"msava@redhat.com","username":"msava@redhat.com"},"change_message_id":"f90503f9775d15df61c238010b675f10a582913e","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[],"source_content_type":"","patch_set":1,"id":"bf2f0e6c_482e5e33","in_reply_to":"a8504006_b67f9149","updated":"2024-01-25 08:52:42.000000000","message":"@Akekane Should we move to glance unit/functonal?Or maybe the test already exist in glance unit/functional?","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"},{"author":{"_account_id":10459,"name":"Luigi Toscano","email":"ltoscano@redhat.com","username":"ltoscano"},"change_message_id":"ab39887a7840de3b805dd84464fcdb9706ff76ad","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[],"source_content_type":"","patch_set":1,"id":"9b37871c_deac4b08","in_reply_to":"a8504006_b67f9149","updated":"2024-01-25 08:52:11.000000000","message":"Are there any objections to moving these into a project-specific tempest plugin, like glance-tempest-plugin?","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"},{"author":{"_account_id":34510,"name":"Maxim Sava","email":"msava@redhat.com","username":"msava@redhat.com"},"change_message_id":"097ceee88a188cc75fe4f58ae60b03e21452b352","unresolved":false,"context_lines":[],"source_content_type":"","patch_set":1,"id":"1f505317_6e9a730c","in_reply_to":"bf2f0e6c_482e5e33","updated":"2024-01-25 09:30:37.000000000","message":"@tosky If tempest not suitable place for negative tests why we should move the test to glance tempest plugin?","commit_id":"3862d83fe8c762b83007ac35baddb1e68403af05"}]}
